"Castle" Season 8 is closely nearing its fall finale, as the ABC crime drama is only three episodes left before it comes to a break. While this season has caused quite a stir among fans and viewers because of Castle and Beckett's breakup, showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter promised fans that there will not be a cliffhanger when the show ends in the episode titled, "Mr. & Mrs. Castle."
"And as we promised when we first started talking about this season is that we were going to constantly change the dynamic of the show and this is the end of the first evolution of what this journey's going to be and we're ending it with a promise of what's to come in the new year," Winter told Entertainment Weekly.
The executive producer further teased fans and viewers that they will have something to look forward to when "Castle" returns for more episodes in 2016. Speaking about the show's midseason finale episode titled, "Mr. & Mrs. Castle," which airs on Nov. 23, Hawley revealed that they experienced quite a challenge in executing the episode, as it will be Castle and Beckett's first wedding anniversary.
"What we have to keep in mind is that, even with the obstacle in their way, both of them are still desperately in love with each other," Hawley revealed.
Meanwhile, the Nov. 16 episode of "Castle" titled "The Last Seduction" will feature the return of Toks Olagundoye's character, Hayley Shipton, TV Over Mind reported. Castle, on the other hand, will be working with Ryan and Esposito in the same episode.
