One Direction set Twitter into a frenzy with the debut of their new song "End of the Day," and one band member in particular became the highlight of it all.
On Nov. 9, Monday, the wildly famous British boyband released their latest song "End of the Day," which is from their upcoming album "Made in the A.M." The new ballad was uploaded on Spotify for fans to listen to.
The lyrics were sorted out so fans would know which member sang which part. It's the very reason why Twitter went ballistic over one particular 1D member who sang an epic solo. According to E! Online, Louis Tomlinson became the man of the moment after fans heard the new song, which highlighted his impeccable high notes in his solo part.
"End of the Day" is a lively single that tackles the subject of following what one's heart desires, Refinery29 wrote. The climax of the song is around the two-minute, 15-second mark which is Tomlinson's solo. The second verse of his part drove everyone crazy as he hit the highest note in a way Directioners have never heard before.
The British boyband's fans were quick to take to Twitter what they think of the new single, with most of them singing praises and expressing a sense of shock with Tomlinson's voice.
One Directioner, @horanbrightz, wrote: "Who killed everyone with his high note?" and used the hashtag "End Of The Day" along with a photo of the entire 1D members pointing at Tomlinson. Another One Direction fan posted: "END OF THE DAY JUST MESSED UP MY FEELINGS IT'S SO GREAT I CAN'T STOP LISTENING."
One Direction's loyal followers are said to be gearing up for the release of the boyband's fifth album in just a few days.
One Direction recently wrapped up their "On The Road Again Tour." The tour is their last planned tour before going on an extended break, which the group has not really done in their five years in the business. However, with the impending success of the boyband's soon-to-be released fifth album, fans could only cross their fingers that the hiatus will not last too long.
