The upcoming episodes of "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 will be a two-hour special filled with action and revelation, as the Dark Swan and Captain Hook battle King Arthur, Emma's evil plan is uncovered and Merida sets off for a new journey.
OUAT's Season 5 Episodes 8 and 9 are merged together in this two-hour special titled "Birth" and "The Bear King," respectively, ABC announced.
The video preview of the two-hour special of "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 shows Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) confessing his love for Emma (Jennifer Morrison), despite her becoming the Dark Swan. The other Storybrooke characters, however, do not approve of Hook's decision because they know all too well that since Emma has become evil, she is just using him to do her bidding.
The upcoming episodes will also reveal Emma's dark plan based on the teaser. There will be a shocking revelation that will blow everyone's mind.
Before the video preview ended, Emma is seen speaking to Hook, saying, "You really want to know the truth, no matter how awful?" Hook then answers that he does. This could mean that Emma is finally revealing what she really is up to.
Meanwhile, iDigital Times wrote that Emma and King Arthur (Liam Garrigan) will face each other once and for all in Storybrooke, which could start a battle between the two. This face-off could shed some light as to what happened in Camelot when Emma was transported there.
For the second-half of the two-hour special, "The Bear King," the focus is solely on the life of Merida (Amy Manson) in DunBroch. In this episode, viewers will find out what really happened to King Fergus, how and why he died. Earlier reports have also mentioned that old characters, Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Ruby (Meghan Ory) will be seen helping out Merida on her journey.
The two-hour special episode of "Once Upon a Time" will be aired on Nov. 15, Sunday on ABC.
