Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 (2016 Editions) Leaked Photos Show the Metal Frame Design, Glass Back and More Expected Specs

It has been over a year when the tech giant, Samsung released the Galaxy A3 and A5's successor. And now, the upgraded versions of the two smartphones are expected to be released soon with a metal design feature. Speculated leaked photos online also showed possible features and specs of the handsets.

The leak was seen on Twitter by user @sleaknow based on the report of the Latin Post. However, the original photos have now been taken out from the account. Based on the leaked photos, the successors of the Galaxy A3 and A5 feature both metal frame body and glass. Apart from that, both devices are also speculated to be protected by a Gorilla Glass, just like the previous flagship phones released by Samsung.

Size-wise, the leaked images also showed that the 2016 versions of the said models are quite the same or identical with their predecessors. Therefore, the new version of the Galaxy A3 is more likely to be equipped with a 4.5-inch display, and 5-inch for the successor of the Galaxy A5.

According to Phone Arena, though there are some similarities when it comes to the design, they also have a number of differences. It is pretty apparent that there were some changes with regard to the shape and location of the speaker grill at the base and the camera along with the LED flash.

The leak photos showed that the soon to be released devices feature a mirror finish, which is more similar to a glass back than a metal design. Furthermore, the Tech2 also pointed out some potential features of the A series. The Galaxy A3 2016 Edition will be equipped with a 4.7-inch display, powered by an Exynos 7580 quad-core processor, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, with either 1.5 or 2GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, is rumored to have a 5.2-inch display, octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 12 megapixel rear camera, and 4.8-megapixel front facing camera. Both devices are rumored to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
