Nexus 6P Latest Updates: Users Report that the Device's Back Glass is Flimsy as It Shatters on Its Own

It seems like some fans of the all new Google Nexus 6P are not totally impressed on its build. The increasing number of users who reported about the Huawei-made handset's back glass breaking issue has caught the attention of many Android fans.

Based on the GSM Arena's report, the skyrocketing number of users on the Android Reddit page was observed. These users have posted that the the back glass of their handsets are not quite durable as what they've expected. It seems like the glass has the tendency to break by itself even if the user is not touching or doing anything at all.

"I heard the glass snap, leaving a little snowfall of shavings on the table under it," says user johnny_rat on the official thread in Reddit.

The user also uploaded a picture on the device on the image sharing website Imgur with the description, "This little feller was sat minding his own business on the table next to me, when I heard a sharp CRACK - and look what had happened. It's now still there, continuing to crack away to itself."

Obviously, the user is not alone as there are still many users who came out and posted some comments on the thread saying that they have also encountered the same issue with their new Nexus 6P. Moreover, another Reddit user Backglasscrack123 posted that he already filed a case to Google and that the tech giants forwarded the concern to Huawei to resolve the issue.

With regard to the reason why it's happening, some users shared their views and opinions on the thread about the process on how the glass was tempered or how it responds to the heat emitted by the phone when being used. However, these are just complete speculations.

The manufacturer remained silent about the back glass issue of the Nexus 6P. For the meantime, it would be best for the users to wait for Google's answers about their queries or if they have made a statement regarding the build problem of their handset.
