iOS 9.1 Update: Patch Brings Problems to Touch ID Feature; Works 15 Percent of the Time, But Takes Seven Seconds to Unlock; iOS 9.1.1 Coming Soon?

iOS 9.1 has rolled out, but like all other patches, it came with glitches and bugs. iOS 9.1.1 should come soon since a downgrade is not possible.

Apple has finally rolled out its very first major operating system update for its present OS build, the iOS 9.1. Just like any other OS update, it also came with bugs and glitches, which makes the latest patch a 'not highly successful' attempt.

The iOS 9.1 Touch ID feature has become the main topic of a lot of Apple users on the manufacturer's forum. Based on the reports from Tech Radar, a myriad of users that have updated their operating system to the latest iOS 9.1 build have been complaining a lot about the Touch ID feature, because it appears to have been compromised.

Apple's complaining users are using a couple of Apple devices, which include the iPhone 5 and 5S, the iPhone 6 and 6S, the iPhone 6S Plus, as well as the iPad Air 2. According to them, the Touch ID feature has a serious bug. They said that the feature does not work well as it does not respond as quickly as before.

Meanwhile on Reddit, DaedraCross left a statement on the thread that the Touch ID only works about 15 percent of the time and that it takes seven long seconds for it to completely unlock, if it recognizes the fingerprint. For other Apple device users, the only solution that they can think of to get rid of this problem, while giving Apple enough time to fix the issue, is to downgrade the iOS 9.1 back to the iOS 9.0.2. However, sad to say that this process is not possible according to ChrisJ4203, an Apple forum user. He said that downgrading is not supported by Apple.

Seems like there is no other way to fix or resolve this issue. According to Tech Radar, it would be best for the users to wait for new updates from Apple with regard to the Touch ID issue.

iOS 9.1.1 appears to be very in demand due to these issues.
