"Into The Badlands" Season 1 Episode 1 "The Fort" will air on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
According to Ace Showbiz, "Into The Badlands" revolves around a post-apocalyptic time in the American Midwest area.
After the destruction of the current civilization, the place called the "Badlands" emerged as the strongest society that is ruled by seven different Barons. Each Baron will have its own army of Clippers, a group of martial arts-trained assassins.
Clippers were brought up through rigorous training as Colts when they were young. They will also train younger Colts under their wings in exchange of gaining said status. Although the ranks of the Clippers stood above ordinary citizens, their lives are still controlled by their Barons.
"Into the Badlands" will focus on the life of Sunny (Daniel Wu). He is only one of the few Clippers who reached the age of 30. Sunny was an orphan before he went training under the leadership of Baron Quinn (Marton Csokas), who is considered as the most powerful baron. The orphaned Sunny showcased incomparable skills different from other Colts that he rose to much higher ranks and became Quinn's most trusted follower.
The time came when Quinn's longtime reign was challenged. The Widow (Emily Beecham), who is the newest Baron, begins to play dirty and sets her sights on attacking Quinn's vehicles.
The attacks is not an ordinary one as it will intertwine the lives of Sunny and his future student, M.K. (Aramis Knight). He is one of the survivors of The Widow's attacks on The Fort, but M.K. is not an ordinary teenager. Sunny then learns about M.K.'s secret and took him as his own Colt.
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the action-adventure series is directed by David Dobkin. It is produced by Dobkin, Gough, Millar, Wu, Stacey Sher, Michael Shamberg and Stephen Fung.
"Into the Badlands" stars Daniel Wu as Sunny, Marton Csokas as Quinn, Aramis Knight as M.K., Oliver Stark as Ryder; Emily Beecham as Widow, Orla Brady as Lydia, Sarah Bolger as Jade, Ally Ioannides as Tilda and Madeleine Mantock as Veil.
"Into the Badlands" Season 1 Episode 1 "The Fort" airs every Sunday on AMC.
