A recent promo video for "Days of Our Lives" tease some big drama coming to Salem, one of which is the return of Ava Vitali who's up for some sinister plans.
In July, it was reported that Tamara Braun is returning to the daytime soap to reprise her role as Ava. According to TV Insider, fans will see her again on Dec. 9. TV Insider describes Tamara's character as "a pill-popping mob spawn who split town rather than face trial for sabotaging an airplane, an act that led to the death of Grandpa Shawn and two others."
The promo video shows Steve and Kayla's son, Joey (played by James Lastovic), talking to Ava, saying that her plan is working. Ava responses with a smile, "Perfect." What could be the plan they are talking about? It already sounds bad as it is.
The Emmy Award winning actress played Ava in "Days of Our Lives" in 2008. She also appeared in Days in 2011 as Taylor Walker, Nicole's sister. Tamara is also known for her roles in "General Hospital" (2001-2005), "All My Children" (2008-2009) and "Little Chenier" (2006).
In a related casting news, Martha Madison is also returning to the daytime soap and her character Belle Black is set to appear anytime soon. The promo video shows Belle and husband Shawn (played by Jason Cook) in a difficult time. Shawn tells Belle he already forgave her once for cheating on him and that he would be an idiot if he do it again. And so it looks like Shawn and Belle are over. Belle says they are getting a divorce.
Jason Cook is currently playing Shawn but his return to the soap is meant to be for short-term only. But because DOOL wants to keep the character, Brandon Beemer has been recast to take over come early 2016.
