The drama continues in the second episode of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 8 and here are some of the highlights of what transpired among the ladies.
Cynthia and Peter talked about the fight Peter had in the party about the video and how everyone's reaction had been unjustified when he admitted what he did. Cynthia said he should get over it as everyone had already seen the video. Cynthia shared in the confessional about their marriage troubles and how things are not working well because Peter is always away, in addition to some financial problems. When she got home after the event, Peter had already left for Charlotte. Cynthia felt like she needed some break and Tiffany encouraged her to do so because what she's going through might consume her.
Porsha wanted to introduce her 24-year-old boyfriend Duke to her family and friends because she wanted them to see that he is a good man for her. Everyone is skeptical though. First of all, Porsha and Duke just met and second, there's a huge age gap. Phaedra said in the confessional, "Porsha hasn't known Duke for very long, so I'm wondering if this relationship is made in heaven or hell."
Porsha's friends came up with some speculations about Duke, saying that guys his age are cheaters more often than not and that he is into strippers. And so they were really surprised when Porsha brought up the idea of moving in with Duke.
Duke and his friend Ken talked about the length Porsha is doing things for him and Duke felt uncomfortable. Porsha made Duke stand in front of everyone while she delivers her speech and then she gave him an "MVP award."
Meanwhile, Kandi and Phaedra had some serious talk about their friendship. Kandi admitted she felt upset when Phaedra told Kim Fields that she was expecting Kandi to reach out to her when she needed her. But to her defense, Kandi felt like Phaedra is the one who does not exert much effort to keep their friendship going.
She said, "The last few years, I feel like any time we've gotten together, it's because I call you. I invite you to my house, everything. All the stuff that we've done is because I've invited you. You don't reach out to me like that."
Kandi eventually brought up the money Phaedra owes Todd. Phaedra broke down in tears.
