‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ Director, Cast & Crew Express Sympathy for Victims of Paris Attacks

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" cast and crew members expressed their sympathy for the Parisians following the recent terrorist attacks during the movie's premiere in Los Angeles on Nov. 16, Monday.

It was an overcast affair for the final flight of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" following the ruthless attacks in Paris that occurred on Nov. 13, Friday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's lead stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth had French colored flag ribbons pinned on their attires together with a bold Hunger Games Mockingjay badge made solely for the franchise.

The Lionsgate Films production initially announced on Monday they would cancel interviews for the final "Hunger Games" movie due to the killings of 129 people in the capital city of France.

The Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer stood on the stage and shared a brief story about the recent premiere in Paris and the final "Hunger Games" scenes that were filmed in the city.

"Tonight, as we celebrate our movie and salute our filmmakers, we want to express our solidarity with the brave people of Paris and share our sympathy for their grieving. We stand with them tonight," Feltheimer said.

The Lionsgate CEO also introduced the movie's director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson. Jacobson gave thanks to the three lead stars as well as the supporting cast, including Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, and Jena Malone, among others.

On the other hand, the "Mockingjay Part 2" director mentioned and thanked Suzanne Collins, the writer of the "Hunger Games" book series from which the film franchise is based.

"Suzanne, thank you. Without you none of us would be here together tonight," said the director. "Thank you for your stories, and your patience with us, and your guidance."

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks, who plays the character of Effie Trinket in the "Hunger Games" films, posted a photo on Twitter to express her solidarity with the Paris attacks victims. "Our hearts are with you, France, where we have so many amazing fans," she wrote.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 20.
