"Metal Gear Solid" is rapidly gaining spotlight and it has a new addition to its widely famous identity. Sharpshooter Sniper Wolf gets immortalize with her own action figure.
According to Gamespot, Kotobukiya, the world renowned manufacturer of science fiction, comic, movie and video games figures, has now released full-color images of its Sniper Wolf Bishoujo figurine. Bishoujo or Bishōjo is a Japanese term used to refer to young and pretty girls. And this is what this "Metal Gear Solid" figurine is, a beautiful female sniper known as Sniper Wolf.
Sniper wolf, belongs to renegade U.S. military special operations group called FOXHOUND. Her real name is unknown but she is said to be of Iraqi Kurdish descent and her history connects her to protagonist/antagonist character Big Boss who rescued her when she was a child in Iraq. Sniper Wolf is the most popular and memorable character in the entire "Metal Gear" series since she was introduced.
According to Gamespot, Sniper Wolf was first introduced in "Metal Gear Solid" as Solid Snake's enemy and a master markswoman a few years ago. The figurine renders Sniper Wolf in her iconic customized green and black attire that is open at the chest. Her yellow-green hair frames her face that is accented by her green lipstick. She looks at you like a target with her piercing blue eyes. The figurine measures 7.5 inches tall (1/7 scale) and was sculpted by Takaboku Busujima. It costs $80 currently available for pre-order but will go on sale around the world in July 2016.
According to IGN, Sniper Wolf does not appear in "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" which is the latest release in the "Metal Gear" series. But her iconic uniform was developed for Quiet, which unlocks after Mission 40: EXTREME: Cloaked in Silence is completed and once the Sniper Wolf outfit is unlocked, the outfit will require an R&D team level of 23 and cost 450,000 GMP to create.
"Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" was released on Sept. 1, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
