EA Sports is enabling free download and play of "Madden NFL 16" this weekend.
Players who want to try the new "Madden NFL 16" can download and play the full version of the game for free starting Friday, Nov. 20, 12 a.m. ET until Monday, Nov. 23, 12 a.m. ET. The free trial version is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Xbox One players can play the football video game for up to 10 hours, while PlayStation 4 players can play for unlimited time during the free weekend. While this is a free trial game, EA said the progress made by "Madden NFL 16" players can be carried over when they purchased the game.
"Madden NFL 16" comes at 19.75GB and can be downloaded at PlayStation Store and Xbox One Store.
Published by EA Sports, the American football sports video game is based on the National Football League. The game was released last Aug. 25 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, the latest "Madden NFL 16" patch is now live for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, bringing an extensive line of fixes and game improvements. It also introduces a new game mode called "Draft Champions Ranked." With this new mode, players can compete in events, climb the ranks and win prizes.
The patch on Madden Ultimate Team include fixes where users can now quickly sell, auction or trade items in their lineup. There were multiple general stability fixes, as well as fixed a softlock issue. Several gameplay improvements include addressing issues with HB auto-motion vs man coverage, effectiveness of AI pass rushers, custom defensive playbooks, safety in deep zone, among many others. The patch also brings the addition of XP sliders to new online CFMs. CFM preseason and regular season bug has also been fixed.
