iPhone 6s News: Water Resistant Test for the New Apple Smartphone [Video]

Apple's anticipated and newest iPhone, the iPhone 6S just goes to show that it has come with better and improved specifications featuring a much faster processor, improved frontal and rear cameras, and a force-sensitive touchscreen to top it all off. Though when a test was conducted, it just goes to show that the latest iPhone is not water resistant as many thought.

In a video that CNN Money posted on YouTube, they have exhibited the iPhone 6s and tested it by submerging the device in a vase filled with water for five minutes. After the bath the iPhone 6S had gone through, the smartphone showed that it was still a functioning device. However, when taken out of the water, it was noticeable that there were air bubbles that had taken place on the screen of the smartphone due to its prolonged exposure to the water.

The device was again dipped in the water and from there it was more noticeable that the screen was beginning to fill up with water from the inside. Just after the tests, the iPhone 6S continued to function as it is for 10 more minutes before actually breaking down as the screen faded to black and the whole device just stopped operating completely.

This goes to show that the iPhone 6S is not water resistant at all. Though it might have failed the water resistance test, it just proves that it is still more durable than its previous model, the iPhone 5. The previous device was placed in the same simulated test, but the phone only lasted 10 seconds under water compared to the iPhone 6S which lasted more than 5 minutes.

In addition to this, there hasn't been any statement or confirmation from Apple that the iPhone 6s is in fact water resistant, International Business Times reported.
