Everyone who performed during the AMAs gave their best but Celine Dion's heartfelt tribute to Paris victims was an emotional one for the audience. On Nov. 13, Paris was attacked by terrorists that left hundreds of people dead and a lot more injured.
According to Hollywood Life, Celine sang a song love in French entitled, "Hymne a L'Amour" by Edith Piaf while images of Paris landmarks were shown on the screen behind her.
French-Canadian Celine's emotional performance brought the audience to tears as her powerful performance reminded everyone how heartbreaking the terrorist attack that happened in Paris was. It was also shown on screen that French people unite after such tragedy.
The lyrics of the song may be in French but the emotions showed by Celine as she performed the song were so intense that everyone in the audience can feel it. From time to time the camera was directed to the audience and the crowd can be seen with tears rolling down their faces.
The song ended with the image of the Eiffel Tower on screen and everyone gave Celine a standing ovation for such amazing performance.
According to Billboard, Larry Klein, AMA producer said in a statement before the show that "We felt it was important to show our solidarity in light of the recent events in Paris and all around the world."
He then added, "Celine's performance will help us express our feelings through song, when words do not suffice."
Meanwhile, ABC News reported that before the "Because You Loved Me" singer gave her emotional tribute, Jared Leto shared a touching speech about his band playing in Bataclan concert hall and the senseless killing that happened and how it changed Paris forever.

Leto said, "Tonight we honor the victims of the unimaginable violence that took place in Paris and around the world."
He then added, "France matters. Russia matters. Mali matters. Syria matters." Leto went on and said, "the entire world matters and peace is possible."
After Jared's emotional speech, Celine went out and gave a performance that only a Grammy winner can do.
