‘Quantico’ Season 1 Spoilers & Cast News: ABC Series to Add New Actors from 'How to Get Away With Murder,’ 'Sex and the City' and ‘Damages’

"Quantico" season 1 will add a few more characters come midseason premiere in March 2016, with the actors from "Damages" and "How to Get Away with Murder" tapped to play the roles.

Aside from ABC picking up all the episodes of "Quantico" season 1, the series will also get bigger with new additional recurring characters, Deadline noted. Joining the cast are Lenny Platt of HTGAWM, Jay Armstrong John from "Sex and the City" and Li Jun Li of "Damages" and "Minority Report."

Platt is set to play Drew Perales who, according to creators, is an ex-NFL player. The character is described as charming and confident. Armstrong John will be playing Will Olsen who is not capable of empathizing with others but has impressive credentials having formerly worked in NASA and a doctorate degree in Harvard. While Li will take on the role of the successful Chinese entrepreneur Iris Chang, the Queen Bee.

Meanwhile, the first half of "Quantico" season 1 is drawing to a close as episode 9 will be shown on ABC on Sunday, Nov. 29. Spoilers for "Quantico" season 1, episode 9 reveal that in order for Alex (Priyanka Chopra) to tell the truth, Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) will be tortured right in front of her. There is only one problem: Alex is not the bomber.

Although there are FBI agents who do not believe in her innocence, former co-trainees in Quantico like Elias (Rick Cosnett) firmly believe she has nothing to do with the bombing. Elias will try to convince Liam (Josh Hopkins) to see his side of things.

Meanwhile, there is more to Simon (Tate Ellington) which will be revealed in the upcoming episode. As a trainee in Quantico, Simon will face danger after the training proves how good he is at profiling. Meanwhile, the present Simon is revealed to have a connection with Oren, who is good with bombs. Can Simon be ultimately involved in the bombing of the Grand Central Station?

It is not long now until the midseason finale of "Quantico" will be shown on ABC and speculations say that this Sunday's episode will finally reveal who among Alex's former classmates is responsible for the bombing.
