Golden State Warriors Star Player Stephen Curry Buys a Walnut Creek Home Worth $3.2 Million

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors (GSW) bought a $3.2 million-worth house in Walnut Creek, California.

The LA Times reported that the Warriors' all-star point guard purchased a two-storey Mediterranean estate standing in an approximately 8,000 sq. ft. open-plan space in San Franciso's East Bay. The property, which was built in 2012, has a two-storey foyer which leads to a step-down living room. Just beside it is the dining room area. The said foyer also includes a center-island kitchen and a family room area.

Curry's new home has a total of five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and four fireplaces. A lower-level space is dedicated for entertainment, with media and billiards rooms, a 2,300-bottle wine cellar plus a complete bar.

In the separate wing of the house is the master suite which has an office, a fireplace and a private balcony. The highlight of the master bedroom is a frameless shower and jetted spa tub with marble and travertine finishing. The widely covered patio with French doors has an outdoor kitchen. The grounds also boast of formal landscaping, gardens and a separate 800-square-foot casita.

The house, which previously sold for $2.5 million in 2014, was up for grabs in April for $3.988 million and was later re-priced at $3.65 million. The listing agent is Vikki Bearman from Empire Realty Associates, while the buyer representative from Caldecott Properties is Andy Read.

The 27-year-old NBA star is in his third year of a four-year contract worth $44 million with the Warriors. He was awarded the NBA's most valuable player last year that led to Golden State's first title in 40 years. He's
scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after next season and there's no hint of him slowing down this season.

GSW conquers this season's Western Conference with a 16-0 standing. Their latest game was Wednesday, Nov25, where they defeated LA Lakers in a final score of 111-77.
