'American Horror Story' Star Chloe Sevigny’s Former Womb-Like Apartment Is Worth $2.1 Million

"American Horror Story" actress Chloe Sevigny's womb-like (as she described it) garden-level East Village apartment has been sold again for $2.1 million.

The Observer reported that the East Village co-op, purchased by the tech power couple Jeffrey Hammerbacher and Halle Tecco from Sevigny in 2011, has been sold again. The couple listed the apartment at 119 East 10th Street in June. The listing was shared by CORE broker Heather McDonough with Henry Hershkowitz, describing the following features -- a wood-burning fireplace, built-in bookshelves, lots of exposed brick and a private garden.

The tech power couple passed the space to Shana Randhava, the executive director of the Estee Lauder Companies.

"Ms. Randhava is the kind of buyer that, it seemed to me, as soon as she walked in, it felt like her place. It was what she was looking for," said McDonough. "It was one of those special apartments that had a ton of charm," McDonough added.

There had been changes in the apartment, including the neighborhood, over the past years. According to Curbed, the couple bought the property from Sevigny for $1.76 million in 2013, and commenced a nine-month renovation right away that converted a hallway closet into a laundry room, added a new shower to the hallway bathroom, and enlarged the kitchen.

As for former owner Sevigny, she has moved on to a classic six on Prospect Park describing the place to be "less womb-like" and less governed by co-op bureaucracy.

The actress currently stars in FX's "American Horror Story," a story of a house that is haunted by demonic creatures and makes the lives of its residents petrified.

Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, "American Horror Story" has been recently renewed by FX for Season 6, Design&Trend reported.

Sevigny would love to have an antagonist role for Season 6. "I think I'd maybe like to play more of a villain," said the 40-year-old actress who plays Alex Lowe in the current installment. "I think that would be fun."
