Fandom Post has rated "Bleach" Chapter 652 a grade of C. The critic thinks that the idea of having Nanao in the story as "a savior and partner leaves [the reader] underwhelmed. It's a mixed bag depending on what you're looking for from the series to be sure." The backstory in itself is also pretty bland, perhaps this is because the reader has not invested on her character.
