Maverick Carter, business partner and friend of NBA player LeBron James, recently bought a Hamptons-inspired residence in Hollywood Hills overlooking the famous Hollywood sign.
Carter, who currently manages the NBA MVP's growing business empire, purchased the renovated property worth $3.465 million in a well-known celebrity section of Hollywood Hills. On the other hand, his client and friend James has just bought a 20-million estate in Brentwood, also an affluent neighborhood in the Los Angeles area, the LA Times reported.
According to the outlet, the two-storey house has an overlooking view of the San Fernando Valley, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. It was perched in a corner lot behind a gated facade followed by a motor court. The property was recently developed by American Coastal Properties.
The estate, which measures more than 4,400 sq. ft. of open space, has four bedrooms and 4.75 bathrooms. For entertainment, the house is equipped with a home theater. There is also a custom wine closet available.
The interior design of the house is done in neutral tones. The interiors which utilize wide-plank wood floors include a modern kitchen with a spacious bar, as well as a fireplace.
There is a large deck outdoors overlooking the swimming pool and spa. There is also a pool house and an outdoor shower available. The residence likewise boasts a separate studio/gym that is adjacent to the pool.
Last March, the house was up for sale for $3.85 million, and records show that the house had been sold for $1.73 million over a year ago.
According to the Multiple Listing Service, Sally Forster Jones and Margaret Thomas represented Carter. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Isaac Fast had the listing.
Carter and James are long-time friends and business partners. In 2010, the two co-founded LRMR Marketing & Branding, a sports marketing company, with their other childhood friends Rich Paul and Randy Mims. Carter serves as the firm's chief executive.
LRMR Marketing & Branding also represents Johnny Manziel, an NFL quarterback.
