Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 Leaked in TENAA; Mid-Range Phone is a Full HD Phone

An upcoming mid-range phone by the South Korean phone and tech giant was recently spotted by fans on the Chinese telecommunication commission boards, also known as TENAA. A photo and probable specification were also uncovered by fans that sports 1080p or Full HD display.

The upgraded version of the mid-range phone, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016), model number SM-A7100, is a 5.5-inch OLED screen that offers a 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution. It is technically a Full HD display. Power will be coming from the same chipset like the previous model, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, clocking at 1.7 GHz, as reported by Tech Times.

Memory is upgraded, this time around, with a 3GB RAM. It was only at 2GB with the previous one. Storage is pegged at 16GB built-in, with an option to expand it up to 128GB. The current model can only be upgraded up to 64GB. So, this is a big increase and will definitely favor by fans.

The available connectivity options for the soon-to-be released A7 seems similar with its predecessor, which includes, 4G LTE Cat. 4, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS. The measurement is at 151.5 × 73.95 × 6.95 (mm) and weights 155 grams. The tested unit is Gold in color.

No battery information was available on the listing but the previous model contains a 2600 mAh battery. The upcoming model have the same battery capacity or a slightly bigger one. It is also said to be having an Android 5.1.1. Lollipop as its operating system. The TENAA listing also shows that the 2016 variant of the A7 will have a 13-MP rear-facing camera, with LED flash. While the front-facing camera is set at 5-MP, according to a report published by Ecumenical News.

No official announcement has been made by Samsung with regards to this upcoming model, so no release date can be determined. It may be within the next few days, or next few months.
