'Days of Our Lives' Cast & Spoilers: 'General Hospital' Alum Réal Andrews Spotted on Set, Character Remains a Mystery

Réal Andrews has been recently spotted on the set of "Days of Our Lives." It was previously reported that the actor will be joining the daytime soap soon, but his character and storyline are yet to be revealed.

On Nov. 11, Andrews posted a photo on Instagram and confirmed the news. The actor posed with a big smile on his face and a thumbs up sign, with the "DOOL" poster forming a collage.

"I am back. Thanks for all your support. Stay tune [sic] for details. Thank you Jesus," the 52-year-old actor wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag "#daysofourlives."

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "DOOL" posted a vague casting call last October, looking for two short-term male roles. Both characters were said to be in the late-30s to mid-40s. One is described as "gorgeous," while the other as a "hot bad boy." The show provided "Hal" and "Clark" as the new characters' working names. Andrews easily fits both descriptions.

The gossip site also suggested that the actor could also be cast as a cop who will hunt down killer Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). However, the NBC drama has been tight-lipped about Andrews' character so far. "DOOL" reportedly tapes approximately six months before airing, so fans could expect to see Andrews in Salem sometime in April or May 2016.

According to Soap Shows, Andrews formerly played as police officer Marcus Taggert in "General Hospital" from 1996 to 2003. After his "GH" stint, the actor appeared on "As the World Turns" and "All My Children," but with only recurring guest roles. Aside from acting, Andrews is also a motivational speaker and life coach.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays, 1 p.m. on NBC.
