As "90 Day Fiance" season 3 comes to a close, viewers witnessed two weddings on episode 8, entitled "What Do You Know About Love?" Kyle and Noon and Josh and Aleksandra made it to the aisle in this week's episode. But for Mark and Nikki, another big hurdle came between them as Mark decided he needed a prenup before pushing through with their relationship.
Kyle and Noon, the New Orleans-Thailand couple, had an emotional moment prior to the big day. Noon urged Kyle to reconnect with his mom who he hasn't seen in 10 years. It was revealed that Kyle's mom was an alcoholic and her addiction led to their broken relationship.
Kyle's mother did not make it to their wedding day, which took place in a Buddhist temple. He tearfully admitted that he wished his mom would have shown up, but said that Noon was his family now. Noon was a stunning bride in her traditional Thai wedding dress. As soon as she entered, Kyle immediately teared up.
"She's the best thing that happened to me," he said. Though Noon's family was also not present, the two looked sincerely happy while saying their vows.
In Idaho, Josh and Aleksandra proved that love conquers all, even culture and religion. Before her big day, Aleksandra had a heart-to-heart chat with her Russian mother. She opened up her fears about making a life-long commitment with Josh and his Mormon beliefs. Despite their obvious differences, her mother said that she thinks Josh is a good guy and will make her happy.
They proceeded with their wedding, which was conducted in Russian.
Meanwhile, in Maryland, Nikki was searching for "cheap wedding dresses" online, but Mark told her he'll buy her a nice wedding dress. The 58-year-old took the 19-year-old Filipina to New York for a wedding dress shopping. She tried on a $2,300 corset-style gown, but Mark said he was not spending that much money on a dress she'll only wear for "15 minutes."
Later, Mark presented Nikki with a document and told her to sign it. It's an American prenup, which Nikki was not familiar with. She consulted a lawyer who dissuaded her to marry Mark.
"You can't sign this," the attorney said. "It's as one-sided as it can possibly be, and basically leaves you with nothing."
However, Mark was firm with the prenup idea and told Nikki that this was a deal breaker. Hesitantly, Nikki signed the contract.
"I'm too young for this," Nikki sadly said, leaving viewers wondering if she will push through with their wedding.
The episode also touched on the three other couples: Loren and Alexei, Fernando and Carolina, and Melanie and Devar as they approach the 90-day mark of their K-1 visa. Next episode is expected to feature their weddings, as well as Nikki's much-awaited decision.
"90 Day Fiance" season 3 finale will air on Sunday, Dec. 6, 9 p.m. on TLC. A special tell-all episode will air right after the finale.
