'Days Of Our Lives' Casting News: 'DOOL' Veteran Actors Wally Kurth And Judi Evans Are Now Off Contract

There has been a lot of comings and goings lately on NBC's soap, "Days Of Our Lives" and now two more veteran stars are said to leave the show.

About.com shared that based from their behind the scenes sources, Judi Evans and Wally Kurth, who portrayed the roles of Adrienne and Justin, respectively, have been taken off contract on "Days Of Our Lives."

It has been reported that both Evans and Kurth only got the memo last Monday, Nov. 30 and they were surprised about it. Both actors just came back to the daytime soap earlier this year.

As recalled, it was last March 30, 2015 when Kurth took to Twitter about the need to leave "General Hospital" since he signed a contract with "DOOL." Kurth wrote, "Hey all, guess I should confirm. I did sign a contract with #Days. Which will require me to leave #GH. It's bittersweet. I can't do both."

Kurth really left "GH" to take on another full-time role in "Days," however, the show seems to go on another direction which prompted them to terminate his contract.

According to Soap Shows, it was just after the Thanksgiving weekend that both actors found out that they have been taken off contract. Reportedly, "Days" writer separated Adrienne and Justin a few months ago. Apparently, Adrienne found comfort in the arms of Lucas while Justin became closer to Eve. Eve who is portrayed by Kassie DePaiva will also be gone next year.

Since Freddie Smith who played the role of their son Sonny left the show, both Evans and Kurth's screen time and storyline died down as well.

Soaps She Knows shared that there is no confirmation yet from the publicist's team as well as on both Evans and Kurth's sides. However, it has been reported that being off contract does not necessarily mean that they are no longer part of the show, it's just that their appearances will be minimal already.
