"Batman: Arkham Knight" by Rocksteady made it very clear that they developed the game at the earlier part of this year, as they want to deviate from the Batman series after the trilogy. On the other hand, Warner Bros did the other way around and did not walk away from the franchise that gives them millions of dollars of yearly profits. They registered WB Games Montreal to maintain the "Batman: Arkham origins" to continue.
WB Games Montreal's site confirmed two DC Comics games that are now in the works. In September, WB's Vice President for Product Develoment for DC Games explained that, "We don't have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman."
The other games that the WB Games Montreal are working on are: "Batman: Arkham Origins," "Batman: Arkham Game" and "Batman: Arkham Asylum." The settings of the games will be the events in between of "Arkham Origins" and "Asylum."
WB Games Montreal launched "Batman: Arkham Origins" two years ago and the gameplay and the game plot were both excellent, however, it was filled with glitches. It hanged on gamers repeatedly, and it was upsetting to test and play the game for long hours. If WB Games could overcome these technical challenges, the series will be good as Rocksteady moves forward to new projects.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the cinemas next year, and will definitely lay the solid ground for future WB video games that the studio could develop. Perhaps a Justice League or Superman game could also be considered by the developers, as the last Superman video game created was a "Superman Returns" tie-in, which gathered poor feedbacks from gamers. Hopefully, WB Games could think of developing the "Last Son of Krypton."
The last Superman game made was a tie-in with "Superman Returns," which got poor reviews from fans and critics alike. Perhaps the developer can finally make a game worthy of the "Last Son of Krypton," though this remains to be seen.
As for the next game that WB Games Montreal is developing? Good guesses are Justice League, Suicide Squad, and any other DC Comics games. What do you think? Which one is WB Games developing? Let us know by leaving your comments below.
