"Empire" stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will appear in the "Taraji and Terrence's White Hot Holiday" Christmas special. It will air on Dec. 9 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
You've read it right! The two brilliant actors behind the power couple from the hit TV series "Empire" will showcase their talents and hosting skills to bring the holiday cheer into our homes this Christmas. According to Indie Wire, Henson and Howard will perform modern versions of the classic Christmas songs. They will be joined by the other cast members of "Empire."
"White Hot Holidays" will also feature various performances from some of the notable music artists today including "All of Me" hitmaker John Legend, multi-talented personality Jamie Foxx and the legendary RnB singer Mary J. Blige.
“White Hot Holidays” is produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment and Don Mischer Productions. Henson and Howard also worked as producers alongside Vincent Cirrincione.
The FOX holiday will be filmed on Sunday, Dec. 6. It will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center in California.

This week, NBC just aired "The Wiz! Live" on Dec. 3 and Netflix gave us an all-star ensemble for "A Very Murray Christmas" starring Bill Murray, Miley Cyrus, and George Clooney. It became available for streaming on Dec. 4.
The 45-year-old Henson and 46-year-old Howard are known for their roles in Lee Daniels' "Empire." Henson currently plays as Loretha "Cookie" Lyons, the ex-wife of Howard's power-hungry character Lucious Lyons. They are the complicated couple who lead a famous musically-inclined family in the hip-hop music industry.
"Empire" will have its midseason hiatus after few more episodes of Season 2. It stars Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers and Grace Gealey.
"Empire" airs every Wednesdays on FOX.
