"Supernatural" Season 11 Episode 9 entitled, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" has the Winchester Brothers' hands full as they face the adult version of the "Darkness" (Emily Swallow), also known as Amara. In addition to the "twist and turns" of the midseason finale of the hit CW series, Mark Pellegrino who portrays the role of Lucifer, the first fallen angel, is back.
According to TV Line, a more matured Darkness "unleashes" her power to the oblivious townspeople. Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) is trying hard to understand the hold the villain has on him.
The previous episodes of "Supernatural" suggested that in order for Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and the rest of the team to defeat The Darkness, they will seek help from God (Rob Benedict), Archangel Michael (Matt Cohen) and fallen angel Lucifer to form an army of angels. Only then will they have a chance against the enemy.
This may put Sam in a hard situation knowing that he has been Lucifer's vessel. Last seasons showed how Lucifer tormented Sam, Morning News USA wrote.
Meanwhile, God will also be shown in the fall season finale of the series. Sam asked the King of Hell to make up a strategy that would get Lucifer to join their plan to win against The Darkness.
Jared Padalecki spoke to TV Line, saying, "Episode 9 (the fall finale) and 10 are my favorite episodes of Supernatural in a long, long time. I love the twists and turns - none of which I can probably say without getting out of here alive. The brothers are very committed to fighting alongside each other ..."
Jared also expressed that he wasn't expecting for this part of the storyline to come sooner and admitted that he expected the events will happen at the finale of the season. Nevertheless, the actor said he is excited to let the fans see the upcoming episodes.
Fans are expecting to see an action-packed episode before the series' winter break. Find out how Sam, Dean, Crowley, and Lucifer fight the "Darkness" on "Supernatural" Season 11 Episode 9 on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 9pm E.T. on The CW.
