"Outlander" Season 2 recently released its first official trailer for the upcoming season, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's second book titled "Dragonfly in Amber." In the upcoming season, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will be traveling to France in an attempt to stop the Jacobite Rising and change the course of history.

While the upcoming season of "Outlander" is expected to take on a more political spin, actress Caitriona Balfe revealed to Parade (via Express) that the show's core will remain that of Jamie and Claire's relationship.

"This season is different visually, but at the core, it's still Jamie and Claire," she said. "Things aren't easy with the struggles they are going through in their relationship."

As seen on "Outlander" Season 1, Jamie and Claire both went through a lot of difficulties, especially the torture scene between Jamie and Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) in Wentworth Prison. Add this to the fact that Jamie and Claire are both expecting parents, which will definitely add more stress to the couple.

Meanwhile, many fans recently praised Balfe for her professionalism at work, as the 36-year-old actress remained in character despite having a horse nibble her fingers, Scotland Now reported. Producer Anne Kenney tweeted this instance and several fans praised her for staying in character despite the situation.

"Seen on set: @caitrionambalfe staying in character while a horse nibbled her fingers! #focus #horse whisperer," Kenney wrote.

"Outlander" Season 2 premieres in spring of 2016 on Starz.
