Anime News Network reports that the Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump 2nd 2016 issue has already been released. The said issue has revealed a character design for the "One Piece Film Gold."
The Weekly Shonen Jump had only described the design as a "mysterious man." However, it is expected that there will be more details that will be revealed about this character in the next issues of the magazine.
Report states that Eiichiro Oda, the creator of "One Piece" manga, drew the design of the mysterious character of the "One Piece Film Gold." ANN also states that both the official portal of the movie and Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump had divulged that "starting on December 18, those who purchase advance tickets for the film will receive a clear file with a 'Kintarō Luffy' character design (the kanji for 'kin' in Kintarō means 'gold,' and the kanji on Luffy's clothing also says 'kin' for gold)."
Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump also said that a special video of "One Piece" will screen ahead of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie opens in Japan theater on Dec. 18.
Franchise Herald on the other hand says that "One Piece Film Gold" will feature the adventure of Gol D. Roger. Although, the producer of the film adaptation has not disclosed the plot of the said "One Piece" movie, avid fans are already speculating that "it could feature the adventures of Gol D. Roger during his youth."
It has been noted that many followers thought that the upcoming movie of "One Piece" might "follow the same path where legends from the past, Shiki and Zephyr, became the main focus of the movies." This idea was based on the two previous films adapted from Eiichiro Oda's manga, the Strong World" and "Z" respectively.
