Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL Update: Release Happens in Canada on Christmas Eve; Accessories Bundle Purchases Come with Discounts

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL will be arriving in Canada in time for the holidays. Special discounts are also offered by the Redmond-based tech giant for these devices' accessories.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL, the latest Windows 10 smartphones from Microsoft, will be made available on the Canadian portal of Microsoft Store on the eve of Dec. 24. The website also shows big discount on accessories if one will be bundling it with the phones. One of the offers shows a portable charger, a screen protector and a phone case, for only $84.99. One will be able to save as much as $60 on this deal, Phone Arena reported.

Another offering for the phone is the Display Dock Productivity Bundle that gives a $60 discount and includes Belkin Ultra-Thin High Passive 6-foot HDMI cable, an Arc Touch Bluetooth mouse and a Universal Mobile keyboard, and priced at $119.89. However, the Display Dock is not part of the bundle, but for those who will be ordering the Lumia 950 XL through the Microsoft Store will be eligible to get it for free through the Lumia Offers' mobile app.

Microsoft Lumia 950 is a 5.2 inch AMOLED screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It offers a 2560 x 1440 pixels ClearBlack resolution with a 564 ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset. A replaceable 3,000mAh battery is included which is capable of fast charging and Qi wireless charging, ZDNet reported.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is a 5.7 inch AMOLED screen, 2560x1440 resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected. It is with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, a replaceable 3,340mAh battery. It also supports fast charging and Qi wireless charging.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL Display Dock can be used with the Windows phone feature Continuum that can convert the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL into a desktop PC. One can attach a keyboard, a mouse and a monitor.
