Kim Kardashian Post-Birth News: Maternity Leave is a Week Long Only; Nurse, Family Members, Kanye West Step in for Baby Duties when Needed

Kim Kardashian is already back on her feet with her professional commitments just seven days after giving birth to her second child, Saint West. Saint was born last Dec. 5.

Kardashian gave birth at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and Kanye West was there to support his wife every step of the way. West was so happy when Saint was born. He was shouting and singing a lullaby during that time, a song composed only for Saint right there in the delivery room, The Reveille reported.

The "Keeping up with the Kardashians" member is downright exhausted from giving birth and from taking care of a newborn child. Every parent knows the feeling, but she cannot really stop working. Incidentally, she also suffered another serious pregnancy condition. For the second time, she suffered another placenta accrete, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply in the uterine wall. The first time was with her first born North West, added the report.

Kardashian is a known workaholic. Normally, a maternity leave will take about three to six months, but not with Kim. "It's not in Kim's nature to stop working. She hates standing still, doing nothing, and feels that's just a waste of time," HollywoodLife reported exclusively.

Right now, husband West only wants Kardashian to take some needed rest. An insider close to the new parents stated that, "Kanye has told her that now is the perfect time to rest up, put her feet up and just relax. He said he will pitch in with baby duty, as well as a nurse and all the family, including Kris, Kourtney and Khloe, who will all step in when needed."

West hired a nurse to assist in baby duties. He hired one also to let Kim have a lot of time to rest and recuperate. According to reports, he does not want her to quit work, but he just wants her to relax for now.
