Huawei has just launched its enhanced version of the Honor 7 smartphone. It boasts a bigger internal memory of 32 GB and Android 6.0 Marshmallow compared to its previous version with 16/64 GB storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
After initial reports that Huawei Honor was planning an American debut at CES 2016 with its Honor 5X, recent reports are now boosting the Huawei hype. Huawei Honor may not yet be available in the U.S., though it added some extra strength to one of its popular devices, according to Tech Times.
The enhanced version of Honor 7 offers a smoother experience with Android 6.0 as the default operating system and EMUI 4.0 on top. It also has a "smart key" that allows quick shortcuts. It is said to be capable of using voice commands to start navigation, go running and more. Huawei, which has teamed up with Baidu, brings a Siri-like feature to the enhanced smartphone.
Other specifications include a 20-megapixel rear camera based on a Sony IMX230 sensor, an 8-megapixel front camera, 3100 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner and a 128 GB micrSD card slot. It also connects through 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/c/n/ac (2.4 GHz), 4.1 LE, GPS and Bluetooth.
According to Yibada, the upcoming smartphone will be having a Kirin 935 SoC, 2.2 GHz octa-core CPU and a Mali T629 graphics under the 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display, powered by 3GB of RAM.
Launched on Dec. 3, the Honor 7 Enhanced edition is only available in China at the moment at $309, and it comes only in gold color.
On the other hand, the older 16/64GB version of Honor, which was released in July, dropped its price to $278. It runs in HiSilicon Kirin 935, Quad-Core 2.2 GHz/Quad-Core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and Mali T628 under 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen.
