Tite Kubo's latest "Bleach" installment draws different reactions and opinions from its readers. One particular review of chapter 655 says that it is the same drawn out pieces from previous installments. Despite disparate opinions, fans are still looking forward to chapter 656. Spoilers of the next installment reveal that Ichigo and his group appear.
Fandom Post reports that "Bleach" Chapter 655 shifted its focus on "Rukia, Kikuchi and others that are dealing with their own opponent." Understandably, this is like a transition after wrapping up the Nanao and Shunsui storyline in chapter 654. It is also noted that in the previous chapter, there was "a good single panel shot of Aizen to get things pumped up ever so briefly," but then the latest didn't have it. What was featured instead is the "current opponent of Gerard Valkyrie making his play to show them that he and his godlike powers essentially make them powerless."
Report also states that "Bleach" Chapter 655 is a fast read chapter. Obviously, there's nothing much that was shown. The readers might have that 2-page spread of Gerard, but nothing is so meaty with just those "surprised looks, things flying all over the place and a lot of speed lines."
Just to cut the chase of detailing the flaws of chapter 655, the critic had rated this installment of "Bleach" with "C." According to Chris, this chapter may probably be competent enough as it moves through its motion. However, it appears like most of the scenes in the panels had already been seen several times before in different forms.
"Bleach" is adequate enough to be followed each week. But then, this manga series of Tite Kubo "feels exactly like it has for far too long, without any minor growth in storytelling or artwork to showcase things better." Reading the new chapters makes you feel like being in nostalgic vibe.
Kaleo on the other hand has a different take on the previous chapter of "Bleach."Based on the report, chapter 655 was entertaining despite it being short. It is also noted as being narrowly focused, though the material was still a good read.
But Kaleo site also predicted that "Bleach" chapter 656 will shift another focus again. It might be a different battle this time since "Valkyrie has it taken care of on his end. However, there is a possibility that someone from Kyouraku's group might still be conscious and able to fight." As mentioned earlier, readers might be able to get updated about Ichigo and his group.
In addition, fans might be able to witness the new powers of Kira in "Bleach" chapter 656, now that he's back from the dead.
