J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated sci-fi movie "Stars Wars: The Force Awakens" brings its own and newest "Star Wars" women fashion into existence. Numerous selections of "Star Wars" items came out to the markets worldwide to welcome the return of the hit saga.
Since its early campaign, "Star Wars" has taken different companies to associate their brands to the popular film saga.
Mashable shared photos of ladies in runway shows in collaboration with "Star Wars." The models walked with "Star Wars" inspired boots made by Bobby Ableys.
Hot Topics also designed its black mini dress with a fitted cape, black high-knee boots, chunky neckpiece, and bracelet to fit a "Star Wars" character.
Nina Penalosa, the Star Wars avid fan from California who possesses a geek lifestyle and runs a fashion blog, said in the report that there are things made only for women reaching the broader market and the options were mostly limited and usually come in pink color.
Yet changes are truly inevitable especially in the fashion industry. And now, "all of a sudden we're getting not just t-shirts but dresses, skirts, jackets and more," Penalosa stated.
Diane von Furstenberg and Uniqlo are brands which also collaborated with the space film franchise.
"Star Wars" was traditionally marketed basically for the boys, young and old male adults. As the technology innovates, the trend for fashion reinvents as well.
Dan Sullivan, founder of British shoe brand Irregular Choice, said: "We wanted to acknowledge the ladies out there who love it also, by offering girly heels and delicate flats." He recently launched a collection of pumps and flats that are "Star Wars" inspired.
On the other hand, NBC News listed a range of "Star Wars" merchandise items including the Cover Girl Star Wars Beauty Collection, Kids' Star Wars Crocs, Star Wars Creamers by Coffee Mate, HP Star Wars Special Edition Laptop, and Star Wars Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, among others.
