Although it's too early for this kind of announcement, Big Hero 6 will have a sequel. This long time rumor has been confirmed by Stan Lee, the same comic book writer and executive producer for Marvel's the X-Men.
The sad part is that revelations regarding the plot have already been spieled. It has been said that in the next sequel, Tadashi, the loving big brother of Hero is alive and that he will become the villain Sunfire. Fans who have heard about this rumor are unhappy as Tadashi have always left positive memories to Hero and the fans before he died during the blast. Some of them do not want their imagined of Tadashi in their minds be tarnished.
Sunfire is a known character on X-men, that being said, crossover with Big Hero 6 and X-man could be a strong possibility if this is all true.
In Baymax's interview with Bryan Alexander in USA Today. He hinted a 'Big Hero 7.' In that show, Baymax was asked about what improvements will his fans see in him, to which he answered, that he is simply looking forward to upgrade and that Hero is working on teaching him how to laugh. So much for all those hints, fans are still excited to see their big heroes on screen.

Previous sequels to Big Hero 6 came from Japanese comics, and later Disney was able to turn it into a big international hit. Although Big Hero 6 was not able to topple the earnings garnered by 'Frozen' and 'The Lion King,' it was able to break 'Tangled' earnings.
