'My Hero Academia' Anime Slated Its Premiere in April and More Voice Cast Revealed; Kohei Horikoshi's Manga Series Will Have a Novel Adaptation?

"My Hero Academia" anime is only 4 months away before it will be aired in Japanese TV. Kohei Horikoshi's "Boku No Hero Academia" manga series is in development for anime adaptation, and the show is slated in April 2016.

Anime News Network report that the official announcement of the premiere date has been made via Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. As revealed in the combined 2016's 3rd and 4th issue of the magazine "My Hero Academia" is all set for April 2016's release.

ANN also says that Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump has also revealed the voice actors of Ochako Uraraka and Tenya Iida. The character designs have already been released through the official portal of "My Hero Academia."

As seen in the anime's official website, Ayane Sakura will do the role of Ochako Uraraka. Ayane Sakura is also known for her characters in "Love Live! School Idol Project" and "Terra Formars." Another new voice actor that is revealed in the "My Hero Academia" portal is Kaito Ishikawa. He will play the role of Tenya Iida. Kaito Ishikawa is known for his role as Genos in "One-Punch Man," and Ledo of "Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet."

It has also been reported that Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump disclosed the hero costumes of two "My Hero Academia" characters: Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugō. It has also been mentioned that "a bundled edition of the manga's seventh volume will ship on February 4 with a drama CD." It is noted further that the new story for the CD will also be penned by Kohei Horikoshi himself, while Yousuke Kuroda ( anime series composition writer) will also make the story into the drama CD's script.

iDigital Times says the inevitable debut of Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia" is highly-anticipated. It is not clearly stated that a simulcast will also be happening elsewhere since Viz Media or FUNimation has not announced any rights for distribution. In fact, Viz Media told the online magazine this: "We cannot comment on any properties that haven't been officially announced by VIZ....no news has been released by any US distributor on plans for the anime series. These things are often delicately negotiated so nothing can be commented on at this time."
