How the 'Miss Universe 2015' Q&A Portion Revealed the Intelligence of Every Contestant

"Miss Universe 2015" has been commended for this year's Q & A portion for it gave significant political questions that concern the home country of each contestant.

The Miss Universe contestant from Thailand won the best national costume category through fan votes. Miss Japan made history by being the first half-black and Japanese woman born of a mixed race to ever win in a major beauty contest, the New York Times reported. Moreover, several shout-outs were also given to Miss Philippines.

However, the most discussed topic about the Miss Universe 2015 pageant was the choice of questions this year. A lot of people were impressed by the questions about the real global and national issues. Miss Philippines' question yielded an answer about how she felt regarding the presence of the U.S. military bases in her country. She replied by saying that she does not have any problem with it, noting that the U.S. and the Philippines have had an age-old relationship. She also added that a number of American customs remain deep-rooted in today's Philippine culture.

Miss Australia was asked regarding her country's current issue of the legalization of marijuana, to which she answered by expressing her support for medical purposes, but she hoped that every side would be weighed by the government equally.

Miss Colombia was later asked about her thoughts on how to solve the global drug issue, which she answered with the significance of education. Miss USA was questioned about the gun control in the U.S., while Miss France was questioned about her thoughts on how to fight terrorism since she had experienced it directly following the Paris terror attacks.

The "Miss Universe 2015" questions were not just well thought-out. The answers from the contestants were impressive as well. Kudos to the MUO for preparing significant questions that showed the intelligence of every contestant, manifesting that real beauty is beyond the outward appearance, Bustle shared.
