"Longmire" is now on its Season 5 after it was dropped by A&E right after its third season. Netflix nabbed the show and aired 10 new episodes for Season 4 of the series last September. A fifth season has been confirmed a few months after with original series writer, Tony Tost, returning for the show.
"Longmire" Robert Taylor's character Walt Longmire was left hanging in the finale of Season 4. His faith remained however even if the cast and crew of the show had no idea if they will return for a new season of the series, Christian Post reports.
Luckily, Netflix decided to go further with a Season 5 of "Longmire," assuring fans that the online streaming service is the perfect home for the show. Netflix even confirmed that they will add 20 minutes to the initial 42 minutes of the show to make it even more cinematic for fans.
Tony Tost, one of the original creative writers for the show, have already confirmed that he'll be back for the series. He previously tweeted, "Re-watching season four and getting psyched up to go back to the writer's room for my first day of Longmire season five tomorrow."
Meanwhile, Cartermatt narrates that it has really been a great year for the "Longmire" series after having a successful run in its fourth season.
After Netflix confirmed in October that the show will indeed have a fifth season, there have been very few details regarding "Longmire" Season 5. However, with Tost's latest Tweet, fans can't help but be excited with the return of the series.
Tony Tost's revelation brought back the hype in the return of "Longmire" in its 5th season, hopefully, this coming 2016. Netflix, on the other hand, remains mum on the possible premiere of the latest season of the show.
