Dedicated "Halo 5" fans must mark December as their favorite month, as Microsoft and 343 Industries announced the release of "Cartographer's Gift" - a major update that promises to bring weapons and tons of other cool stuff for the game. Best of all, it's free.
News from VineReport stated that among the improvements included with the update, there will also be an impressive amount of features that will be added to the game such as the forge mode, fresh battle maps for team games, power-ups, arenas, assassinations, a new warzone, and some sweet new weapon-and-armor sets.
Microsoft also had some special things in mind for dedicated "Halo 5" players, as Gotta Be Mobile reported of a loyalty program that is going to be implemented soon. Players who continuously log-in will have a chance to get even more than the usual two free Req packs that they get every day as they play arena and warzone multiplayer modes. The catch is that players will actually need to win matches in order for the program to give noticeable rewards, although they also thought that this shouldn't be too hard for some. In any case, the rewards program may hopefully bring an upward surge to the number of players logged in to participate in online multiplayer.
Another very important update is giving players the ability to fine-tune their controllers. Players may remember that the previous update caused all kinds of problems for many when it was supposed to help them with slow-turns and handling. Microsoft promised a "more advanced" controller setup to be included with the update, with fine-tuning expected to be included among the myriad of options.
The "Cartographer's Gift" has no exact release date as of yet, but multiple sources have already confirmed it most probably will be released this weekend. All players have to do to get this "Halo 5" update is set their console's Always Connected Power Mode to On, and the update will download automatically, free of charge.
