A "Star Wars" film-related crime was almost recorded in history when a Montana man threatened a Facebook friend after disclosing the subplot of the recently released "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" movie.
A Montana man was arrested after he was suspected to have threatened a student he befriended on Facebook. The Guardian reported that the man named Arthur Roy, the suspect, was angry after his Facebook friend disclosed the subplot of "The Force Awakens" in their online conversation last week.
Roy was said to have posted a photo of himself with a gun, a Colt 1911 with a "hair trigger." Based from the affidavit filed by the boy, he was too scared that this guy will come shoot him. Because of the event, the entire school was locked for security purposes. Perez Hilton mentioned the gun which the young boy was referring to was just a BB gun.
Melissa Broch, a deputy attorney for Lewis and Clark county said, "The victim was afraid it was a legitimate threat. The victim believed that the defendant might come to his school and harm him."
The Guardian stated that after the officials received the affidavit which the young boy filed, Roy was arrested on Friday for a suspected assault with a weapon, a felony. The same source said that the suspect appeared initially in Lewis and Clark county justice court on Monday. He was ordered to pay $10,000 bail.
At the moment, there is still that uncertainty whether Roy is still under custody. However, his arraignment in a state district court is final in January. What is worse, Perez Hilton mentioned that he had a previous serious crime committed in the same state when he had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old without consent.
