"Captain Marvel" will surely be seen, as Marvel Cinematic Universe is now moving fast to make it by 2019. With four more years to wait, rumors about the movie have started to become active.
The "Captain Marvel" character's alter ego is Carol Danvers, a woman. The character was an original creation of Stan Lee and has been in the Marvel Universe since 1967. Today, the character has become such a huge deal considering that this is the first time for MCU to have their main character played by a woman. Although there was the character of Black Widow, she does not have a movie in her name yet.
There seem to be 12 actresses who are being considered for the "Captain Marvel" role, but on top of the list is Emily Blunt. The British actress' career was launched in the film "The Devil Wears Prada," but she is also known in some action films. However, the actress did not accept the huge role because according to her, she is not so familiar with comic characters and she has not been approached about the role nor received any phone call. "I do not know the character. It is not my forte," Blunt explained to Collider.
Another actress who is being considered is Jessica Chastain from the film "Interstellar." Many are saying that Chastain is perfect for the role since she is disposed to the character of a superhero aside from the fact that she is not so much of a fan of just being a leading lady. The actress shared with IGN in an interview her willingness to be part of the movie and showed her excitement over the idea of wearing a costume while doing some fight scenes. She said that she would be delighted to get a call for the movie.
"Captain Marvel" is scheduled for release on March 8, 2019, CrossMap shared.
