David Spade has some very strong sentiments toward the President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. The President and First Lady have recently been appearing in many reality shows, talk shows, magazine covers and other media outlets leading the "Joe Dirt" star to describe the Obamas as "media thirsty."
"I criticized Obama [in a tweet on Dec. 14] because I thought, you know, a President should have a little more dignity. I mean, I realized Woodrow Wilson went on 'Dancing With the Stars' once, but what President's doing reality shows? It sounds weird to me, and it's just too much. I think, you know, Michelle Obama's on 'Ellen' more than I am. I mean, what First Lady?" Spade ranted.
The actor continued, "It just seems a bit thirsty to me. That's all. I think they're going to do fine, but they're sort of plotting for after the White House. Like he's on GQ. Leave that to Bradley Cooper. You don't need that, you're the President. You're above all of us. You're above stars, you're above everything.
Splade previously blasted President Obama on Twitter for appearing on a recent episode of "Running Wild With Bear Grylls." Last December 14, the actor tweeted, "Why is Obama on Bear Grylls trying to survive in the tundra? Isn't the idea to keep the prez alive? And why is he on a reality show? Wt-?"
In "Running Wild With Bear Grylls," the President spent 48 hours living in the Alaskan Wilderness with the show's host. Some of his notable experiences include lunching on a half-eaten piece of salmon packed inside what looked like moss or weeds and snacking on leftovers that Grylls found along the riverbank.
Recently, the annual Gallup Poll named President Obama as the most admired man of the year. Spade is certainly not going to be happy about it.
