Now that "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" has been released in Japan market, the new RPG will soon be available in North America. Series Producer Kazumasa Habu reveals in an interview about the PS4 and PS Vita Version of the game series, plus localizing it for western audience.
The PlayStation Lifestyle conducted the interview of Kazumasa Habu concerning the slated international launch of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth," however Habu graced this Q&A with Geek Culture.
As the highlight of the said the interview, Kazumasa Habu addressed the version of PS4 and PS Vita of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth." According to him, the PlayStation consoles will be supported by cross-save system, so that gamers can still play across both consoles. However, the PlayStation platforms don't have the trading system of the game.
It is also noted that the settings of the "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" are made to have a matching system that is based on the network of PlayStation network. Thus, it is designed for gamers to battle together with other players. But then, the Sony has not fixed its decision to this said feature.
As far as the plan of localized version of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth," Habu revealed that the team only has the English scripts, but the voice is still in Japanese language. He also disclosed that the localized version is created because of the demand of the fans in the international market.
Hardcore Gamer reports that with "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" having a PlayStation version, fans from North American can hope that graphics would be improved. Report also states that the "game also includes different pre-order bonuses depending on which version you decide to pick up."
Pre-orders of "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" for PS4 will definitely have 2 Digimon characters that are only intended for the North American market. Aside from additional characters, gamers could also have "two new costumes for Agumon and Gabumon and several in game items."
Of course, the PS Vita will have bonuses but it also have 4 additional "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" themes.
