Windows 10 is now available to all Windows user. While merely 10.5 percent are reportedly using the new operating system, the latest collective update "KB3124200" is experiencing several issues with certain applications.
The variety that Microsoft is now utilizing has altered the term customization for Outlook, File Explorer, and Edge files. This is composed of AutoText, customized templates, envelope addresses, macros, AutoFormat and autocorrect settings which have been stored previously, Extreme Tech reported.
Other Microsoft users have also reported the challenges they experienced while trying to install the update. According to them, it either failed, did not download completely, or was missing on their computers.
Other Microsoft Windows 10 complaints listed were people experiencing failure in closing Edge Browser, crashing of File Explorer, sudden malfunction of MS Calculator, failure to start Outlook 2016, and unresponsive apps such as Maps, Calendar, Mail and Store. Several programs also get deleted automatically, and experiences extremely sluggish boot time, Windows Report said.
Microsoft has yet to release an official solution to fix these issues. Furthermore, the company has also yet to give an official statement on the issue.
While the Windows 10 update seemed to have received a number of repercussions from consumers, other people also encourage PC users to avail of the update and receive extra perks.
Recent Statistics revealed that 11 percent of PCs are still using Windows 8.1, and 56 percent still runs on Windows 7. Home also advised that users should grab the chance of this free upgrade while they still can as it is a limited offer which will only last until the July 29, 2016.
Windows 10 is also reported to be more secure than its predecessors as it brings in the latest PIN log system which calls for long passwords. As for the users who are having a tough time remembering passwords, the latest operating system offers an option for a short code exclusive to their computer.
Windows 10 promises to bring several up to date improvements to performance of various platforms like smartphones and tablets.
