"Vikings" Season 4 looks all set for its return on Thursday, Feb. 18, and spoilers tease that King Ragnar will be betrayed by at least two people.
Entertainment Weekly shared an exclusive image which takes inspiration from The Last Supper painting, suggesting that anyone could be Judas. It features the cast of the hit series and shows four of those who have already betrayed Ragnar. EW said two of them will backstab the King again. Who could it be?
According to spoilers from AE Networks, Ragnar's son, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) or Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), his second wife might get his crown, but more will be in favor of Bjorn. In this season, the outcome of Rollo's choice to side with Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau) of West Francia and his alliance with them will also be explained.
In Season 3, Travis Fimmel, in the character of King Ragnar, was victorious in his great battle in Paris but he returned to Kattegat excruciatingly ill. Thinking that Ragnar may die, those who want to replace him as king continue to struggle for power to defeat him. Then, Rollo, in the person of Clive Standen, betrayed the Vikings.
Well, joining Travis Fimmel in this new season are Jasper Pääkkönen ("Jet Trash") as Halfdan The Black, the violent younger brother of King Harold, Peter Franzen ("The Gunman") as King Harold Finehair, a potential menace to Ragnar who wants to be King of Norway, and Dianne Doan ("Descendants") as Yidu, a new and different character of "Vikings" who's going to fascinate Ragnar.
In another news, "Vikings" received four additional episodes order from its initial 16, bringing the total to 20 episodes. The all new season of "Vikings" will premiere on Feb. 18 at 10 p.m. and will air every Thursday for 10 weeks. It will then take a mid-season break and then the remaining episodes will return in the latter part of 2016.
"Vikings" is a family saga that houses notable tales of the explorers and raiders of the Dark Ages. This drama series features their extraordinary lives as well as their epic adventures. It is created and written by Michael Hirst, the Academy and Emmy-award winning director of "Elizabeth" and "The Tudors."
