Both "The Flash" and "Arrow" return on the 3rd week of Jan. 2016 for its mid-season run. Trailers of both The CW shows reveal that there will be more villains that are causing havoc in their cities. Barry Allen will be facing strange happening in Central City, while team Olicity will be facing wrinkled relationship.
Collider states that more villains are expected to arise in this coming mid season of "The Flash" and "Arrow." The separate trailers released suggest so and serves also as a reminder of their near return which will be both at 8pm on January 19 and January 20, 2016. One particular tease is a hint given as to who might be in the grave that was shown in the jump off for the season in Star City. While the other is an appearance of one of S.T.A.R. Labs members'alter ego.
The trailer for "The Flash" shows the team travelling to Earth-Two. Although it is unclear why the team does this but the writers are probably doing this because the possibilities of varying plots for the storyline are endless. There are a lot of speculations as to why this happens. One could be because of Patty Spivot being kidnapped by Zoom. Another is Killer Frost or otherwise known as Caitlin Snow appearing from Earth-Two. Yet another reason could be because the daughter of Harrison Wells is still being held against her will. Lastly, is the return of the Reverse-Flash.
MNR Daily reports that "The Flash" that Barry Allen will be experiencing strange circumstances in Central City. One teaser shows Det. Joe West informing someone that Central City is ground zero. Another is the possible return of The Reverse-Flash from the grave and Caitlin Snow switching from good to bad as Killer Frost.
Buddy TV mentioned the trailer for "Arrow" showing the possibility of Anarky returning. The huge threat of the villainous Damien Darhk still looms for Oliver Queen and his team. Another is the mere mention of Thea about Felicity having a complication and is out of surgery. This could only mean she's not the one in coffin in the burial ceremony shown in the previous mid season finale.
