1. Johnny Depp's French Village Sold For $25 Million
The famous "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, Johnny Depp, bought a French village located 17 miles north of St. Tropez in 2001. Built in 1800s, the 37-acre village neighbored has a neighnoring village called Plan-de-La-Tour village. Depp, together with his former wife, Vanessa Paradis and their two children lived in the village where he spent millions for building renovations. When the couple broke up in 2012, Depp put his village on sale and married Amber Heard.
The property, decorated by Depp himself, contains 12 bedrooms and bathrooms, a main house, guest cottages, a chapel, bar and restaurant, a garage and a staff house. A wine cellar with a pirate theme, a skate park and two swimming pools are also located there. The sale price was $25.76 million inclusive of books, DVDs, furniture and some works of art but was sold for $25 million.
2. Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, Still Available For $100 Million
Michael Jackson's previously owned Neverland Ranch is up for sale for $100 million. The King of Pop's ranch was renovated removing most of his properties like menagerie of animals and carnival rides. It is now named as Sycamore Valley Ranch with its original style dating back to 1982 designed by Robert Altevers for William Bone.
3. Bob Hope's UFO House, Still Available for $25 Million
In 1973, John Lautner designed Bob and Dolores Hope's dream house referred to as the volcano or spaceship house. In 2013, the house was originally listed with a $50-million asking price but the price was later cut to $34 million. Now it is still available in the market for $25 million.
4. Miley Cyrus's Tuscan Mansion Sold For $5.995 Million
While filming "Hannah Montana" in 2007, the Cyrus family decided to move to a Tuscan-style home in Toluca Lake, California so that both Billy and Miley can have a short travel time to Disney studios. After the hit series ended, they decided to move back to Tennessee putting the home in a trust for Miley. In 2015, the famous singer-actress decided to sell the house for or $5.995 million, which was sold at the exact asking price.
5. The Bing Crosby Home, Still Available For $5 Million
Golf-lover Bing Crosby's former Rancho Mirage situated in Thunderbird Heights is still up for sale for $5 million. The 1.36-acre ranch-style home with a magnificent view of the mountains and city lights was built in 1957 for both indoor and outdoor living and entertainment.
6. President Obama's Vacation Home, Still Available for $19.125 Million
The Obama Family loves to have vacation to their beautiful private compound on Chilmark Pond with a lovely view of the pond and the nearby beach. Redesigned by Seattle architect Rick Sundberg and landscape architect Steve Stimson, the vacation house has a basketball court and gym, a heated infinity pool, a private boat resting in the pond and three beachfronts.
With the same design as to the Obama winter vacation rentals in Hawaii, the house's original asking price was $22.5 million but was later reduced to $19.125 million.
7. Lauren Bacall's Central Park Apartment Sold For $21 Million
In 1961, actress Lauren Bacall bought a $48-thousand apartment at one of the most renowned residential addresses worldwide, The Dakota, located in Central Park West, New York City. The large grand apartment was put to sale in 2014 with an original asking price of $26 million, later reduced to $23.5 and was recently sold to Ronald Beck, the managing director of Oaktree Capital for $21 million.
8. Jeff Bridges' Montecito Estate, Still Available For $29.5 Million
Jeff Bridges, together with his family decided to put their Tuscan-style home in Montecito, California for $29.5 million. The 19.5-acre property was purchased from Kenny Loggins and contains a main house, a caretaker's cottage, a detached auxiliary garage, a pool house and guest house.
9. Tyler Perry's Atlanta Homem , Still Available For $25 Million
The rich and famous filmmaker Tyler Perry is now selling his Atlanta Mansion for $25 Million. The French mansion has an amazing view of the Chattahoochee River in the upscale Buckhead neighborhood. The house is 34,688 square foot and has seven bedrooms and fourteen baths, stately formal rooms, a two-story library, infinity-edge swimming pool, lighted tennis court on top of a two-story parking garage, fully equipped gym, spa, theater, hobby house and an underground ballroom with catering kitchen.
10. The Danny Thomas Mansion, Still Available For $135 Million
"Make Room for Daddy" actor, Danny Thomas, built his Moorish-flair mansion in 1970 with eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Astonishingly, the 18,000-square-foot property has complete view of Los Angeles.
The estate was first listed in the market in 2012 for $5.764 million by Thomas's three children after he and his wife died in 1991 and 2000, respectively. The buyer, who made some major renovations to the mansion, sold it back in 2015 for $135 million. The Danny Mansion is still up for sale in the market for the same unchanged asking price of $135 million.
