The script for "Outlander" Season 2 finale episode has been finished, writer Matthew B. Roberts shared on Twitter, as reported by Carter Matt. According to the outlet, Roberts announced that he and Toni Graphia worked hand-in-hand to pen the finale episode script for the upcoming season.
The aforementioned publication also noted that both Roberts and Graphia have previously written a number of episodes for "Outlander," which means fans can be rest assured that the show will conclude on a great note. The outlet further noted on the possibility that the writers can now start working on Season 3.
According to the publication, while it is highly unlikely that the writers will begin working on "Outlander" Season 3, the show's third season is almost out of the question. The Starz series, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's books, has been getting good reviews and ratings from critics and fans alike.
Speaking of "Outlander" Season 3, TVLine compiled a list of possible actors for the role of Lord John Grey. According to the outlet, Oscar Kennedy will be playing the role of young John Grey in Season 2, but this character will be playing a vital role in the seasons to come.
Lord John will be making a major appearance in Gabaldon's third book titled "Voyager," wherein he and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) will become friends "in spite of the fact that Grey is a closeted gay man with feelings for Fraser."
The publication then listed ten actors, including alum Tom Felton, Laurence Fox, Rupert Friend, Charlie Hunnam, Neil Jackson, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ryan Kwanten, Tom Mison, Alan Ritchson and Dan Stevens.
