'Final Fantasy IX' Coming to Mobile and PC in 2016, First Time Outside PlayStation

Gamers of "Final Fantasy" already got the "Final Fantasy VII" remake and the "Final Fantasy VX" to look forward to. Now, fans can add the Android, PC and iOS release of "Final Fantasy IX" to their roster.

Square Enix officially announced that "Final Fantasy IX" to mobile and PC device through its Japanese site on Dec. 31. This makes the first time for "Final Fantasy" to be playable outside its PlayStation consoles. "Final Fantasy" was first launched in 2000 to PSOne, followed by the 2010 release in PS3 by a PlayStation Classic, Attack of Fanboy reported.

The "Final Fantasy IX" port will get "auto save, high speed mode, some game boosting features, high definition graphics and newly added achievements," when it is launched, based on the confirmation of Square Enix. The good news is the screenshots and trailers launched so far present that it is true to its original launch. The "Final Fantasy VI" version for Steam was greatly condemned for being a port of the mobile version of the video game that made unacceptable changes to character which comes together with other changes, Slash Gear reported.

Talking about gamers; hope, that is really what Tabata, the game designer is doing right now. Almost a decade after doing, "Final Fantasy XV" would be the first non-MMORPG game in the series in a very long time. It also shows a deviance from the game's well-built mechanics, specifically in battles.

Based on what the gamers ask, "Final Fantasy IX" is either the best in the game's series or at least in the top five. It took the game back to its high fantasy origin after playing with futuristic "FF VIII" and "FF VII" settings. Sadly, it possibly didn't get as much attention it should gave because it released at the latter part of the PSOne life cycle and a year after the PS2 was launched. In simpler words, this port to other platforms is coming after a very long-time.
