Akuma Perfectly Fits into the Plot of 'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution'

It was previously revealed that Akuma of "Street Fighter" is "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" guest character. He also has ties into "Tekken" not only a guest character.

These details were revealed during an interview of PlayStation Lifestyle with Kousuke Waki and Michael Murray, who are the Senior Visual Design Managers for the respective games.

They were asked about Akuma, as a character in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," Murray gave an impressive answer. They said Akuma is part of the plot of the game, randomly.

Murray clarified that they wanted to bind Akuma into the plot so that the crossover will be worthwhile. This is somewhat the same with Virtual Fighter characters in the known game "Dead or Alive 5." The Sega characters were in some ways incorporated into the plot of "Tekken."

On the previous report of Realty Today, "this crossover didn't happen the first time for the two series, this was done by both Bandai Namco and Capcom two years ago and began creating crossover video games. At the same time, "Tekken X Street Fighter" launched a few years back, "Street Fighter X Tekken," whatever fans want to name it, is still a missing in action. "Tekken 7" having Akuma is an evidence of concept, featuring the team is still continuing the plan and look it might be radical when it actually rolls out."

Unfortunately, Akuma is the only guest character that they have integrated so far. Both Katsuhiro and Murray have been not keen to adding characters from other games because they feel they are just throwing off the setting and "Tekken" world. On the other hand, they felt Akuma fits into "Tekken" universe effectively.

It is important to note that, Akuma is in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" and won't be in "Street Fighter 5" yet. Let us know what you think about this news.
