Kristen Stewart took some time off from her busy schedule and ditched her comfy casuals for a stunning lace black dress to attend the 2015 New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
Stewart, who was in Europe for the past month for a movie production, attended the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Monday night, Jan. 4 at TAO Restaurant in Downtown New York, the Daily Mail UK reported.
The "Twilight" star was in attendance along with other top celebrities like Julianne Moore, who was sitting next to her during the show and the one who introduced her, according to Variety. Stewart was particularly invited to the gathering because she was presented the Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance in "Clouds of Sils Maria."
The 25-year-old actress starred in the film alongside Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche. Stewart played the role of Valentine, the loyal assistant to movie star Maria Enders, played by Binoche.
During her speech, Stewart said, "I've received a lot of MTV Popcorns and stuff like that." The actress continued on to say that the award given by the Critics Circle was quite different.
"The movie is thoughtful and quiet and kind of diagonal and not extreme in any way," Stewart added. "It came out a year ago. This is nuts."
The "Still Alice" actress is used to the popcorn trophies being awarded by the MTV in their yearly movie awards that she is not used to the one she has received on Monday. Although such is the case, Stewart has been garnering critical acclaim in recent months for her portrayal in "Clouds of Sils Maria."
The actress, who has been doing indie movies recently, has also been acknowledged by the National Society of Film Critics Awards for the said movie, eventually winning its Best Supporting Actress Category. So far, Stewart has won a total of eight best supporting awards for her role as Valentine, including the prestigious Cesar Awards, the national film award of France.
